Iroik

It is the result of restoring the steep slopes of the Tossal vineyard, following organic and regenerative farming practices, defined by heroic viticulture.

What makes it special?

The Tossal vineyard, a steeply sloped site planted in 2005, had been abandoned for over 10 years. We began its recovery in 2019, taking on the challenge of producing high-quality grapes in this exceptional high-altitude setting.

In addition to the naturally low yields associated with llicorella slate soil, the vineyard’s steep slopes (42%) make mechanisation impossible and greatly complicate all vineyard tasks — making this a clear case of heroic viticulture.

All work is done entirely by hand. The land is not tilled, and the natural ground cover is preserved, helping maintain soil moisture and supporting a balanced diversity of microorganisms, insects, and flora within the vineyard. All tasks are carried out in accordance with the lunar calendar, respecting the rhythms of nature.

Awards

A wine of great visual intensity, dominated by bright violet hues. It opens with pronounced aromas of wild red fruits (raspberries and redcurrants), evolving into notes of black tea, spices, and elegant hints of vanilla blossom. On the palate, it is smooth, well-balanced and persistent, leaving a long, fresh and pleasant finish.
