The origin of our Perer single-vineyard wine

Our Vi de Paratge Perer, made from Carinyena grapes planted in 1959, showcases the artisanal winemaking behind this native and emblematic Priorat variety.

With this wine, we aim to express the elegance that defines our wines and the quality of a truly great Priorat.

Porrera is Carinyena country — a third of the village’s vineyards are planted with this variety, and it is renowned for producing exceptional wines.

Perer is a vi de paratge that captures the purest essence of the Perer site, located in the village of Porrera in the DOQ Priorat.

This parcel is defined by steep slopes exceeding 40%.

The rugged terrain makes mechanisation impossible, so the vineyard is farmed by hand, using the most traditional methods, and following certified organic and regenerative viticulture practices.

Due to the unique soil and climate conditions, the vines undergo considerable stress, resulting in very low yields — typically between 300 and 400 grams of grapes per vine.

In other words, it takes 4 to 5 vines to produce just one bottle of Vi de Paratge Perer.

Harvested manually at optimal ripeness, with careful bunch selection, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.

An elegant, seductive wine that expresses the typicity of the native Carinyena variety — in one of the coolest villages in Priorat.

Limited production of 445 bottles (75 cl and 1.5 l).
